Bled Rafting

Everything you need to know about our Bled Rafting Adventure.
What Is The Difference Between Sava Dolinka (Bled Rafting) & Sava Bohinjka Rafting Trips?
The main difference between the two rafting tours that we offer is level of difficulty. The Sava Dolinka (Bled Rafting Tour) is a Grade II River, the most popular tour. It's perfect for everyone, especially families and beginner rafters. You don't need to be able to swim and we can take almost anyone down the river. The Sava Bohinjka is a Grade III-IV River. This is an intermediate grade and does require some levels of fitness and swimming abilities. You must be 13 years old to participate. Sava Bohinjka does not flow year round and is based entirely on river flow.
Is Bled Rafting a Family Friendly Activity?
Yes, Our Bled Rafting Adventure is perfect for the whole family! We can take children aged 3+ and everyone always has a great time!
What is the water temperature?
The rivers we use for rafting are manly fed by snow-melted water, so you can expect low water temperatures. As low as 10 degrees Celsius on the Sava Dolinka River and 14 degrees on Sava Bohinjka River.
Whitewater Classifications? What is Grade II-III or IV?
The classification of white water goes from Class I to Class V. Class I means the easiest and Class V means the hardest rapids for commercial rafting. Bled Rafting on the Sava Dolinka river is classified as grade II-III which means easy to intermediate. Sava Bohinjka River is a bit more demanding with also some Class IV rapids.
I'm travelling alone. Can I still book?
Yes! While we do have a minimum of 2 participants for the tour to depart, more often than not you will be able to join another group. A great way to meet new friends!
How many people fit in a raft?
Our rafts are made for 6-8 people + your guide. So if you are booking the trip alone or just with a couple of friends you will get more team members to raft with you.
Do I need experience?
Not at all. We pride ourselves on having great guides who are certified and experienced in order to keep you safe, excited & happy while on your experience.
What do I need to bring for Rafting?
Please bring a swimsuit, towel, dry clothes for the finish & a sense of adventure!!
Where do we meet for rafting?
There are two options for Meeting Points. Option 1: FREE Parking is provided at our riverside base (Piškovca 2, Bled 4260) where we will transport you to the river and back to your car after the tour. Option 2: Adventure Rafting Bled will pick you up at your confirmed central Bled location and return you after the tour.
Can I bring my seeing/sun glasses?
Yes you can, but bring these at your own risk, they can break or fall easy. We can give you string to attach as a precaution.
When does the Sava Dolinka Rafting Tour Depart?
From 1st of April to 14th of June and from 16th of September to 20th of October we operate 1 trip per day, at 10:00. From 15th of June to 14th of July and from 16th of August to 15th of September we operate two trips per day, at 10:00 and at 14:00. During peak season from 15th of July to 15th of August we operate 3 trips per day, at 10:00, 14:00 and 17:30. Extra tours for larger groups are available on demand.
Can I bring my phone or camera?
It's best to leave these valuable items behind incase they get lost or damaged. Good news! Your guide will take some great, high quality photos of the tour and we send these to you after the trip for FREE!
I can't swim, can I still go Rafting?
You can still go rafting, even if you can't swim! Although a comfortability in and around water is helpful, it's not necessary and we take many guests who cannot swim.
What is the minimum age that can go whitewater rafting?
On our Sava Dolinka Rafting Tour, we allow children from the age of 5+ for safety reasons.

Bled Canyoning

Do I have to Jump?
Nope! None of the jumps are mandatory. We always have other options to get you down safely, such as abseiling/rappelling or sliding.
How cold is the water?
The water is cold! But that's ok, we have the highest quality gear to keep you toasty in the canyon. Plus, with all the excitement flowing through your bones, you won't feel the cold!

If you can see without them it is best that you leave your glasses behind. If you can't see without them, we can make arrangements to make your tour as comfortable as possible. Please let us know upon booking if you need to wear glasses.

What is the minimum age that can go canyoning? Any other limitations?
To join our Bled Canyoning Adventure, we require a minimum age of 10 years old and minimum 150 height to fit the equipment. All participants must be able to swim.
